Timothy Kisla, DO

Dr. Timothy A. Kisla is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external eye diseases. He performs corneal transplantation and cataract surgery and manages a wide range of ocular conditions involving the eyelid, conjunctiva, and cornea, including infections, injuries, inflammatory disorders, ocular surface neoplasms, and corneal degenerations and dystrophies. Dr. Kisla is one of the first cataract surgeons to offer the Light Adjustable Lens to cataract patients in the southwest suburbs.
Dr. Kisla earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He then completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the same institution, where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he pursued advanced fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Cornea Society and the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
In his free time, Dr. Kisla enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and pursuing a variety of interests including fly fishing, golf, flying, and photography.
